WISE GR Recognizes 2023 Woman of Inspiration & Woman to Watch

  

WISE Greater Raleigh is dedicated to recognizing women who have achieved a standard of excellence in sports business, lead by example and support other women.

The Woman of Inspiration and Woman to Watch Awards, determined and awarded by WISE chapters, honor women in chapter markets who exemplify the spirit of the WISE mission and are making a positive impact on the business of sports while serving as positive role models and mentors for other women.


A Woman of Inspiration is a woman who leads by example, inspires others to be extraordinary, and champions to advance women in the sports and events industry. She is a role model who inspires others to go further, making an impact across her company, community, and industry.


Ashley Bratcher, General Manager of National Teams at USA Baseball, was named the 2023 Woman of Inspiration. Ashley is a trailblazer for women in baseball. She has been recognized on many platforms for her hard work and commitment to serving USA Baseball and the athletes that come through the program each summer on the national and international stage. Ashley is heavily involved in the growth of the USA Baseball Women's National Team program, which under her leadership now includes developmental programs such as the Girls Breakthrough Series, Elite Development Invitational, USA Baseball Girls Camp, GRIT Girls Identification Tour, and Trailblazer Series.


A Woman to Watch is a rising star within the sports industry with less than ten years of experience who is passionate, innovative, and showcases a commitment to meaningful work.


Sarah Antonelli, Girls and Women's Hockey Specialist at the Carolina Hurricanes, was named the 2023 Woman to Watch. Sarah picked up the sport of hockey playing for teams such as Little Caesars and Belle Tire. She played collegiately for the Stevenson Mustangs as a defenseman. Upon graduation, she was hired by the New York Rangers to launch their Girls Hockey Platform. A few years later, she had the opportunity to relocate to Detroit and work for the Red Wings as she served the community she grew up in. Sarah is now with the Carolina Hurricanes, focusing on the growth and development of the girls' game in North Carolina.
